The student body represents the broad spectrum of students who are served by each school district. As a public school, there is no preference for any particular group of students over any other group. It is imperative that ALL students interested in attending Delta High School receive the chance to apply, and the encouragement they need, to navigate the application process. Any student, even those who may not have an initial interest in STEM areas, can benefit from personalized learning experiences, project-based assessment, high expectations, and small school environment.
Acceptance
Students will be accepted based on availability. Students and families will be notified in April 2010 if they have been accepted or placed on a waiting list. Delta High School has a limited number of seats available for students from each district. If there are more applicants than open seats for a particular district, the school will hold a random selection process - a lottery - to determine enrollment. Lotteries will be conducted on April 6, 2010.
In order to enter the lottery, Delta must receive the application and the pre-assessment. Once you send us the application, we will send out the pre-assessment.
Faculty will collect data on attendance, behavior, work habits, social skills, and academic performance. This information contributes to the development of a personalized student growth plan.
